About our ... CheeseWhether enjoyed at the table or in cooking, Sardinians are passionate about their regional cheese. The most renowned of all Sardinian cheese is Pecorino, produced from sheep's milk. There are hundreds of varieties from mild and creamy to semi stagionata (half cured) to stagionata (fully cured)and dolce(sweet).
We have tasted a lot of pecorinos during our travels around the island and we believe that some of the best Sardinian pecorino is produced in the mountains of Gennargentu. We have also selected a delicious hard caprino cheese from the region which is quite a rarity in the UK and a must try for gourmet cheese lovers.
