These terms and conditions (of which the Security and Privacy Policy form a part) apply to all orders which you, the customer ("you" or "your") place using this website, www.palmaverafinefoods.com for items ordered by Internet.

Once you make an order, we will choose to accept it or not and will check your card details and your address. If we are satisfied then we will take payment from your card.

Goods are subject to availability. If we are unable to supply the goods, we will inform you of this as soon as possible and offer an alternative. If the alternative is not suitable then a full refund will be given if you have already paid for the goods.

We highly recommend you provide us with a correct e-mail address. In this case we will send you an order acknowledgement e-mail. This email does not constitute either a confirmation of the order or acceptance by us of the order.

Unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order we will then have entered into a contract, regardless of whether we may have debited your card or sent an acknowledgment e-mail.

The contract will be formed at the place of dispatch of the goods, namely the UK.

Products are invoiced in GBP sterling at the price prevailing at the time you place your order and are not inclusive of delivery fees unless otherwise stated.

All prices displayed on the Palmavera Website include Value Added Tax (VAT) which will be charged at the current rate when applicable.

Although we try to ensure that all prices on the Palmavera Website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of items you have ordered, we will contact you as soon as possible. You will have the option of either reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat your order in respect of the incorrectly priced item as cancelled.

We reserve the right to update prices displayed on the Palmavera Website from time to time.

You may pay for the items which you order online with most major credit cards and debit cards using our secure online checkout. We regret that we cannot accept cheques or cash as payment online.

We accept all major credit cards at Palmavera.

When you place your order, our secure-payment gateway partner Paypal will automatically ask your card issuer for authorisation for this amount and will charge you instantly. Your purchase will appear as Palmavera Ltd on your bank account.

PayPal is a secure online payment method, which allows you to pay quickly and easily without sharing any of your financial information. PayPal safeguard your bank, credit or debit card details. PayPal uses cutting-edge data encryption, fraud detection tools and all kinds of other advanced techniques to improve security.

Delivery times: We aim to deliver all orders within 5 working days of your order.

In the rare event of any specific stock shortage we may substitute with a like for like replacement so as not to delay the shipment.

If you would like to delay delivery beyond 5 working days then place state an ideal delivery date in the notes box provided in the Checkout. We will deliver as NEAR to this date as possible. For example, for CHRISTMAS orders, use the method above and state 'Christmas Delivery' in the box provided and it will be delivered as near to December 25th as possible.

Goods that do not require refrigeration are sent either by royal Mail or another courier service on a standard 3+ day delivery service unless you request Express delivery which is sent using next day guaranteed service. Goods that require refrigeration will automatically be sent Express delivery on a guaranteed next day delivery service. In most cases a signature is required to acknowledge delivery. In order to give your goods the best chance of getting to you in optimum condition we ask that you deliver your goods to an address where someone will be present to receive the goods or at the very least highly recommend adding a note in the box provided in the checkout of a suitable place to leave the order if you are not in or an alternative delivery address such as a nearby neighbour in case you are unable to accept the delivery. NB this must be in the same street or within the immediate vicinity since a delivery to an extra address will be liable to an extra fee.

Delivery for Express deliveries are only on working days therefore we ship orders from Monday to Thursday to arrive Tuesday to Friday. Standard deliveries are shipped Monday – Friday .

Please note that certain parts of the British Isles including the Islands and the Scottish Highlands are harder to get to and therefore increase the chance of longer delivery times.

Our delivery times are for guidance and are not a guarantee. We cannot take responsibility for length of delivery time once an item is dispatched from us to our carrier.

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us at shop@palmaverafinefoods.comor by telephone on 0208 360 3383 between 10:00 - 18:00, Monday to Friday. As we try to process orders immediately, it may not always be possible to prevent an order from being dispatched. If your order has already been dispatched, you may return the items to us in accordance with our Returns Policy.

If we receive notice of your cancellation in time we will cancel the order and we will credit your card.

We guarantee the quality of our goods. You must inspect the goods and notify us promptly by email or by phoning of any dissatisfaction with your order. We will promptly and fully refund the price of any goods that do not meet with your reasonable satisfaction or arrange for the delivery of replacement goods, provided that you notify us within 14 days of delivery of the goods. We will arrange with you for the goods to be returned to us

All returned goods must be accompanied by the delivery slip that accompanied the consignment.

In the case of damaged, faulty or goods mistakenly shipped, a receipt for the return postage should be included within the package for the cost to be refunded.

Most of our products are produced by small producers using artisan methods and therefore subject to seasonal availability and changes in shape/ size etc. All measurements and weights are approximate. The reproduction of colours is as accurate as the photographic and production process will allow.

If a product that has been ordered is unavailable, in the first instance we will replace it with a similar that is like-for-like in terms of quality, type, origin and price. In the second instance, if this is not possible, we will contact you to discuss a replacement.
